As Detroit continues to revitalize itself, homeowners are often completing their own repairs. With budgets tight, renovation and repair are often one step at a time. Below are links to two grants through the City of Detroit that could lead to repairs and lead remediation.
Whether it is yourself, a neighbor, a family member, or a contractor who is working on your home, be sure that they are working lead safe. Children should not be allowed in or around work sites. Any contractor should be able to show you identification that they are RRP (Renovation, Repair, and Training) certified, and we encourage you to obtain similar certification.
